Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (born September 23, 1949
in Long Branch, New Jersey, USA) is an American rock musician,
Oscar-winner and a 21 times Grammy-winner.
Springsteen is the world's most popular and one of the most
commercially successful rock musicians in general. In the U.S. alone he
has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide, plus about 130
million DVDs. His songs are mostly about the American daily life. His
nickname was The Boss in the 1970s, because he paid his band members after
the shows in cash.
