New Order

New Order

New Order were an English New Wave band and one of the pioneers of the Manchester music scene.

The band came over from Joy Division, whose members had agreed at that time, that they no longer appear under the name, should a member leave the band. In May 1980, the former front singer Ian Curtis committed suicide. The remaining Band Members broke up, out of respect for their promise, and regrouped under the name New Order.
