Previous names: Kenny and the Cadets, Carl and the Passions, The Pendletones Original members: Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine Line-up changes: David Marks replaced Al Jardine in 1962/63, then Jardine returned. Profile: Few bands have produced as many "near perfect" pop songs as the Beach Boys. As a singer-songwriter, Brian Wilson is considered to be a genius.
