September 7, 1936 in Lubbock, Texas, USA, † February 3, 1959 in Mason
City, Iowa) was an American rock and roll musician and composer. Among his
best known songs include "That'll Be The Day", "Peggy
Sue", "Oh Boy!" and "It Does not Matter
Anymore".
