The Dead Kennedys were an
American punk band from San Francisco, California, which existed from 1978
to 1986. Their lyrics were full with biting humor, the positions of left
and right politics, sometimes quite invasive in their choices of words.
Musically, it combines the artistic elements of the "classical"
UK punk with the raw energy of the American punk rock. Frontman Jello
Biafra was playing with his label, Alternative Tentacles an important role
as a "springboard" for various other groups.
