Fall Out Boy was
formed in 2001 an alternative
rock band from Wilmette, Chicago, Illinois. The band consisted of
guitarist Joe Trohman and Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz and
drummer Andy Hurley.
Pete Wentz wrote
the lyricist and
Patrick Stump was the composer. They reached with their debut album
From Under the Cork Tree's first commercial success. The album was
released in 2005 and won numerous awards, as well as double-platinum
in the United States. The band went on their first major tour in 2006.
Their second album, Infinity on High was released in 2007 even more
successful than the first album. It debuted in the first week at
number 1 on the Billboard 200 with 260,000 units sold. The pre-release
single, This Is not a Scene, It's an Arms Race, debuted at number 2 on
the Billboard Hot 100 and stood there for several weeks. In summer
2007 the band played at the Live Earth concert in New York City and
then went to the global Honda Civic Tour.
