The unique design of the Godin Multiac Grand Concert Nylon String Guitar unites a larger, chambered mahogany body with a solid cedar top and a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard that joins the body at the 12th fret. The 2" width at the nut is slightly larger than the standard Multiac and more typical of the classical tradition. The Godin custom RMC electronics with 13-pin connector for direct control of Roland GR Series and Axon AX100 guitar synths will open up new musical contexts to the classical guitar player.

The 2" width at the nut is slightly larger than the standard Multiac and more typical of the classical tradition. The custom L.R. Baggs Duet electronics blend the output from the under-saddle transducer with that of an I-Beam transducer, opening up a world of tonal possibilities.

At first glance the Multiac has a familiar look, with its single cutaway, chambered body adorned with traditional F-holes and the Godin GJN1 humbucker at the top of the fingerboard. The slotted headstock and preamp controls on the upper bout offer clues that this guitar is much more than traditional. Each saddle in the bridge is an independent transducer, supported by an onboard preamp and graphic equalizer. This system can be used on its own or in combination with the neck pickup, opening up a world of new sonic possibilities. Also includes a hexaphonic output from a 13-pin connector that provides direct access to Roland GR Series synthesizers and other Roland V-Guitar products that use the same interface!

The Detour offers a compact feel with an aggressive double-cutaway design. The body has a silverleaf maple center with poplar wings.
