Hank Williams

Born: September 17, 1923, Georgiana,
Alabama, US (died 1953)
Full Name: Hiram King Williams
Hit songs include: "Honky Tonkin"
(1947), "Lovesick Blues" (1949), "Hey Good Lookin' " (1951),
"Your Cheatin' Heart"(1953)
Hit Albums/CDs include: Moanin' the Blues
(1952), Memorial Album (1953), Hank Williams Sings (1955)
Profile: Williams started singing as a boy
in his church choir and began playing guitar at age seven. He wrote his first
song when he was 12 and formed his first band a couple of years later. In the
late 1940s and early 1950s, he was country music's biggest star. And still to
this point, his recordings outsell many songs by today's top country music
performers.
