Mötley Crüe is an American
glam metal band that formed in 1981 in Los Angeles. The band consists of
musicians Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee and Vince Neil. Despite many
disputes and private problems, the band still exists today in the founding
members.
Motley Crue are one of the largest bands of the heavy metal genre, and
a pioneer of a genre that spawned many other bands. To date they have sold
50 million albums.
