| Poison is an American glam metal band from
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They were founded in 1983. The band celebrated
their greatest success in the late 1980s, and early 1990s. With over 15
million albums sold in the U.S. alone, Poison is one of the most
successful rock bands of their time. The pejorative term "Poser
Metal" was often applied to the band and partly defined by them.
