This Seagull 12-String Artist Series Studio Dreadnought Guitar is an acoustic-electric that features LR Baggs i-Beam electronics and a gorgeous high-gloss custom polished burst finish on both the body and the bound headstock. Like all Seagull Artist series models, Studio Bursts are proudly and meticulously crafted in Canada. These guitars are artfully created in a secluded acoustic studio, where some of the finest luthiers in the business bring them to life. The on-board LR Baggs i-Beam electronics let you sound your best on any stage.Sound and feel are where Seagull Artist Series guitars really distinguish themselves. The clear bottom end response arrives with plenty of punch and provides a suitable foundation to the harmonically rich sound that sits on top.These guitars will look familiar to Seagull enthusiasts, the straight-pull headstock remains—now adorned with a new Artist logo —and the standard Seagull body shape has been altered only slightly with a narrower waist. The microphone capsule, specifically designed for use in this application, is mounted at the end of a 6 inch flexible boom integral to the side mount electronics. Four rotary controls adjust microphone presence / phase, overall volume, and saddle transducer bass & treble. Electronics and controls are packaged in an easy to use and logical format complemented with a finely crafted pewter cover plate.Microphone signal can be added and blended either in phase or out of phase with the saddle transducer signal.
