Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989 in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania) is an American country-pop singer-songwriter, record producer, actress and multiple Grammy Award winner.

Swift came out with her debut single "Tim McGraw" in 2006, with which she reached number 6 in the U.S. country charts. Her debut album "Taylor Swift" was published on October 24 2006 and climbed to number 5 in the Billboard 200 charts. She was awarded with the RIAA double-platinum. Four singles from the album reached the top ten in U.S. country charts, while in the U.S. pop singles chart three singles came in the Top 40.  All the songs on this album, Swift wrote small interruptions for eleven weeks, no other album since 2000, had that top spot claimed longer, and it was the biggest selling album of 2009 in the United States.

In early February 2009, Swift's single "Love Story" from the album "Fearless" was the most paid download for country music of history - 2.649 million units - and the first country song, which topped the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. In September 2009 the song "You Belong with Me" went first place in the country charts.

Swift won the 2010 People's Choice Award for Best Female Artist. At the Grammy Awards in 2010 Swift received four awards.

In February 2010 her Fearless tour led through five cities in Australia, where the country band Gloriana occurred as support.

Swift's third album, "Speak Now", was released in October 2010 in the U.S., and sold within the first week, more than one million copies. The 14 songs on the album were solely written by Swift herself in Arkansas, New York City, Boston and Nashville. As co-producer occurred Nathan Chapman, who was involved already in Swift's first two albums. The first single of the album is "Mine".
