Musser Xylophone Student Xylo KitsThe M41 is a hybrid mallet instrument made with Musser USA Kelon bars on an imported frame and resonators. The black finished bars offer a full xylophone sound in 3 octaves (C5 - C8), tuned to A=442. The resonators are made from aluminum alloy with gold colored finish coating. The frame is wooden and painted black. End supports, brace supports and legs are made from tubular steel and easily fold for transportation.The M41 is height adjustable with 5 positions between 32" - 37" to match the changing height of beginner and advancing students. The weight is only 50 lb. for easy portabilty. Hard rubber mallets are included.This is an exciting new mallet instrument for students and music dealers. It's not intended as a xylophone for school use, but a training mallet instrument for individual students to keep at home. Many music dealers will make this instrument available as a rental instrument. Private instructors will finally have a low cost student xylophone they can recommend to their students with a quality sound and construction that will bring mallet percussion advancement to more percussion students.

The Sonor Palisono Diatonic Tenor-Alto Xylophone uses bars made of a specially developed fiberglass material. The sound characteristics are similar to rosewood. The uniform structure of the xylophone bar material is superior to rosewood and does not readily absorb moisture, the cause of intonation problems. Palisono bars are heavier than rosewood and therefore rebound less when struck sharply. Sonor Diatonic Xylophones include all F#s, Bbs, and a pair of mallets.
