How should I prepare for a Tommy Emmanuel guitar camp?

I'm planning to attend Tommy Emmanuel's guitar camp in Nashville. I'm an OK fingerpicker, but the camp is way above my skill level. Which lessons should I concentrate on to get the most out of the experience?

I think those camps are great, even if you might not be at a level to play everything the guitarists are teaching. It will most likely be a wonderful, inspiring experience too!

Depending on the style, I'd say the most important thing to learn is to make your thumb more independent from your fingers when it comes to rhythm. Check out the free Fingerstyle Basics lessons here on the site, and then move on to the lesson "Thumb Independence" and then some blues lessons!
